The
Greeks believed that the triangle was the perfect geometrical
shape. Today, only our Austrian crystal artisans could
have captured this perfect shape in pure crystal and only
our Hungarian master cutter could have turned it into the
perfect masterpiece, fit for royalty. A once-in-a-lifetime
gift, to be cherished throughout the generations. Its unique,
difficult to create shape, beautifully decorated with rich,
deeply cut royal patterns and the uniquely fluted, scalloped
edges, makes this bowl a veritable museum piece. We tried,
but to be honest, no photo can do it justice. Created out
of over 5-1/2 pounds (2.6 kg) of optically pure 24% lead
crystal, it is 10 inches (25 cm) on each side and is 5
inches (12,5 cm) deep. PS: If you will be visiting Hungary
and would like a Perfect Masterpiece to take home, please
let us know well ahead of time. Because of the difficulty
and time required in creating this crystal art, orders
are often backlogged.

As
with all the items in our Masterpiece series, our Oval Masterpiece
is hand-blown from the purest, clearest, 24% lead-crystal
in Austria. It is then lovingly packed and sent to our master
crystal cutter in Budapest who lays out the design and hand
cuts each piece. Because of this, as with all hand-worked
art, no two pieces are truly alike. Finally, and only when
he is completely satisfied that the work is perfect, does
his signature go on the bottom of the crystal. The extra-thick
platter is deeply engraved with several traditional motifs
flowing out from the center while the edge is delicately
scalloped. The finished masterpiece consists of 4 pounds
(1.9 kg) of optically pure crystal and is 12 inches (30 cm)
long by 9 inches (23 cm) wide. Limited Availability.
